  1. Day 1 · at the bench

We open it with you there.

The caseback comes off on the counter. We read the amplitude on the timegrapher and tell you what we see before you leave.

  2. Days 2 to 18 · stripped down

    Every part out, cleaned.

Up to 130 parts, each one inspected. Worn ones are replaced with genuine or made-to-pattern parts, and you approve any cost first.

  3. Days 19 to 24 · on the timegrapher

    Timed in six positions.

Dial up, dial down and crown in four directions. Then it runs for five days on the bench before it goes back on your wrist.

Before you book

Fair questions.

Why a £20 deposit?

A drop-off slot holds a bench for twenty minutes so we can open the watch with you. The £20 comes off your bill. Cancel or move it up to 24 hours before and it’s refunded in full. Quick jobs under £30 (batteries, straps, pressure tests) need no deposit.

What if it costs more than the estimate?

We email you the exact price, with photos, before any work starts. If you say no, you collect the watch as it came in and pay nothing beyond the deposit, which then covers the inspection.

Can I post my watch instead?

Yes. Book a postal slot, send it by special delivery insured for its value, and we email you when it arrives with the caseback open on camera. It comes back the same way.

Will you use original parts?

Genuine parts where they exist. For calibres that went out of production decades ago, we source new old stock or make the part to pattern at the bench, and we tell you which before we fit it.

What does the guarantee cover?

The work we did, for 24 months: timekeeping inside the maker’s tolerance and anything we fitted. It doesn’t cover knocks, water through a crown left open, or parts we advised replacing that you asked us to keep.

The next bench is free this week.
